There is no one photographer that inspires me or that I want to emulate as a photographer, but there are publications for whom I wish I could shoot. Wither I admire their style of photography or the access they get to specific subcultures these publications make me want to step up my game so that I may one day work for them.
One of the magazines I respect and try to emulate often is blender, when shooting concerts they are able to capture the chaotic and frenzied energy of the band and crowd without sacrificing the quality of the image. The magazine focuses on music that is popular in a fairly wide variety of genre, from rock, to hip hop and anything in between. As I have such a varied taste in music working for this magazine would be a dream come true.

Another publication that has influenced my style is "Suicide Girls." The best way I can describe suicide girls is Play Boy for the punk rocker. I say that because though they are nude images it is not just "smut," but has an element of class and art. The photographers for "S.G." always incorporate the use of shadow to accentuate the contours and curves of the human body but most of fall they tend to have fun with point of view. Seeing the world in a slightly different way is to me what makes good photography.
